| The Japanese is a true Bantam, this means it is not a miniature of a larger bird.. It is also known as the Chabo. Its ancestors are believed to of originated from China and Indochina. It was exported to Japan where the breed was perfected to its present standard. It is a very old breed and the first Japanese Bantams are believed to have been imported to Europe in the sixteenth century. |
